Those in the construction and property trade face unprecedented challenges. The UK’s stagnant economy has forced many companies to adopt a ‘back to basics’ business plan to help keep them afloat. It has also forced them to be flexible with their approach. Every day we read reports about the rise and fall of property prices. This week we hear from[...]

Flooding - Could water damage cost your business?

Winter has now passed and we have survived the freezing temperatures, but as we have seen recently, despite having a drought, many commercial business premises can still be susceptible to water damage from flooding. Quite often we don’t take the same care and responsibility over our commercial premises as we do our homes yet they are just as susceptible to flooding.[...]

THE complex and frequently changing nature of employment law make it a minefield for employers in the construction and property sector amongst others.. The law is regularly reviewed with the most recent changes introduced on February 1. This is the sort of useful article that ought to be appearing on this site. It is one of the issues that has to be remembered when moving premises if the move out of your current workplace and your move into the new one takes place in advance of the lease terminating on your current workplace. Even if you are off the hook as far as further rental, rates or maintenance charges responsibility is concerned you still need to make absolutely sure that insurance responsibility has passed to the landlord/owner or new tenant of your property and that is clearly documented.

We supply and install standalone alarm systems in the North West that are battery powered (typically 2 – 4 year life) which are ideal for empty property where power is disconnected.
Movement sensors can send a video of the cause of activation to a mobile guard’s smart phone in approx 40secs.
This is should help to:-
a) reduce the level of damage/theft as response will be rapid
b) reduce guarding costs as the cause of alarm is verified
c) potentially reduce claims/insurance costs

For other areas, we can recommend providers of the same equipment.
